We do still have some kind of neutral in our language ('ça'), but yeah, we had a lot of fun assigning genders to the most neutral objects (a table being a "she" actually, and no, I don't know why, either... ;))

But hey! Germans do it too! And their things' genders are different from ours (like 'Die Katze' as opposed to 'Le chat', if I may use a completely random example 0:))

I'm not sure we should let the topic drift in that direction, but, hey, in french a penis is male after all. That's for the actual word. Now, of course, slang is an entirely different matter. Though your statement is quite true for most parts of the female body *g*

(I'm curious now. Is a penis a 'Die' in German or something? :))
